Cleaning for a Reason
Cleaning for a Reason is a nonprofit organization that provides free home cleaning services to individuals and families undergoing cancer treatment. Eligible patients receive two complimentary home cleanings, helping reduce the burden of household chores so they can focus on their health and recovery. The organization serves patients across the United States and Canada through a network of volunteer and partner cleaning companies.
CancerCare.org
CancerCare offers free online support groups for cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and those who have lost a loved one to cancer. These groups are led by licensed oncology social workers and take place through a secure, password-protected online message board where participants can share experiences, ask questions, and receive support 24 hours a day. Groups typically run for 15 weeks and connect individuals facing similar cancer-related challenges from across the United States.
Camp Kesem Notre Dame
is a nonprofit run by Notre Dame students that supports children ages 6 to 18 impacted by a parent's battle with cancer. Founded in 2003, CKND has been serving families in Indiana for over 20 years with our free-of-cost summer camp and year-around support services. At our camp, we offer a traditional summer camp experience---a place for kids to be kids and to just have fun---as well as opportunities for campers to share about the topic that brings us together, cancer.
