Tricia’s Hope INC is 501c3, non-profit organization operated entirely by volunteers. Our mission is to provide emotional and financial support to cancer patients in treatment.
A Note from Tricia:
I was diagnosed with breast cancer when I was 31. It came out of left field and hit my family hard.
At the time I was a stay-at-home mom with two young children, ages 3 and 1. I underwent chemotherapy for a full calendar year and had a bi-lateral mastectomy and reconstruction. The chemo really wiped me out. I was hospitalized for weeks at a time and was too sick to care for myself or my kids. Fortunately, I was surrounded by loving friends, family and community.
In 2009 my husband lost his job due to the recession, and we found ourselves with no health insurance just two weeks after my mastectomy, while I was going through chemotherapy. However, God provided for us through the generosity of so many good and caring people. Some were people we knew, some were people we will never be able to thank in person. We were humbled. We felt loved.
Cancer taught us how to love, and that comfort can come in many different forms. I founded Tricia’s Hope in 2013, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, with the intent to say “thank you” to all the people who helped us, in the best way we knew how–by paying it forward. Now we raise money and provide grants to people in treatment. We also work with other cancer charities in our community to further our common mission.
Thank you for your support!
